South of France, where lavender grows, the ladies are gorgeous and the pastis tastes good.

Bio: Born just off Caledonian Road, Islington. Lifelong Arsenal supporter. Dad, Grandad and brother all the same, uncles, friends and my aunt Ada! Due to life changes have sometimes not been 100% Gooner and often only checked results in newspapers. On other occasions, going to practically every match home and away. Living where I am have been lucky the last couple of seasons to go to European matches to see Arsenal play Montpellier and Marseille. Next time I visit London I hope to do it during the season and finally go into the Emirates for a match. GunnersoreArse will be a weekly blog, posted every Sunday morning at 9am GMT. It will mainly be about everything ARSENAL but occassionally, food, travel and other subjects will be the focus. I have another blog about my art work, called Arts'n'all. It appears, for the moment anyway, that this profile has to do for both of them. This is the art blog link: http://wp.me/p4PyIS-3

  1. Good Morning Fanny fanciers 🙂

I’m gonna have to apologise in advance, will not be putting a Sunday post up today, (well not on here anyway)…. the internet connection is too unpredictable, I started one but lost the connection and lost 400 words, just haven’y got the energy to start again. 😦

  2. Hello,I’ve been doing a bit of reminiscing about my London years so your post on Highbury and your teenage years was good. Do you remember a big youth club in (would it be?) Gillespie Road, near the Arsenal Ground that was run by Save the Children during the 1960s? A big building, took children as well as teenagers. I worked at it for a couple of years – silly really, as had no idea about the people who lived round there, cos I’d come from Bristol! Any chance you know of this club? I can’t find out anything about it. Cheers. Chris
